Professor Ian Ellis – Professor of Cancer Pathology, Division of Cancer and Stem Cells, School of Medicine, Nottingham University, Honorary Consultant Pathologist Nottingham City Hospital, founding member of the faculty of the Nottingham International Breast Education Centre. He has been Specialty Advisor of The Royal College of Pathologists, and is Chairman of the UK National Coordinating Committee for Breast Pathology. He has acted as an advisor to the Department of Health London, the Union for International Cancer Control, the World Health Organization and the International Agency for Research on Cancer. He is a founder of PathLore specialist pathology and reference laboratory, and Medical Director for Source Bioscience plc. Dr. Ellis has authored over 500 peer-reviewed scientific publications, and chapters in medical and pathology textbooks.
Professor Cecily Quinn
Professor Emad Rakha Professor and Honorary Consultant Pathologist Department of Histopathology, The University of Nottingham and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. Dr Rakha has authored over 250 peer-reviewed scientific publications, in addition to more than 25 chapters in medical and pathology textbooks in the field of breast disease. He is member of the National Co-ordinating Committee for Breast Pathology (BIG18), UK PathSoc Committee, International society of Breast Pathology Committee, Breast Cancer Now Tissue bank Access Committee, Nottingham Health Science Biobank Board and The National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Breast CSG and its Translational Subgroup. Professor Rakha has been reporting breast referral cases in Nottingham since 2011 and he reports private breast cases referred to Source Biosciences plc.
Professor Sarah Pinder – Professor of Breast Pathology & Head of Research Oncology King’s College London and Lead Consultant Breast Pathologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. She serves on the National Cancer Intelligence Network (NCIN) Breast Reference Group, the NHS Breast Screening Programme Pathology Co-ordinating Committee, the Sloane Project (UK National DCIS audit) Steering Group and Chairs the NHS Breast Screening Programme Pathology Research Committee. Professor Pinder has published approximately 200 peer-reviewed articles, over 50 invited reviews, and approximately 50 chapters on breast diseases in medical textbooks.
Dr Andrew HS Lee – Consultant Histopathologist specialising in breast pathology at Nottingham University Hospitals. He has been a member of the National Coordinating Committee for Breast Pathology since 2006, chairing the group that organises the annual National Breast Pathology Update Courses. His research interests include core biopsy diagnosis, spindle cell and fibroepithelial lesions and prognostic factors in breast cancer including the role of inflammation.

Dr Abeer Shaaban – Consultant Breast Pathologist/ Honorary Senior Lecturer Department of Cellular Pathology, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. Dr Shaaban is a specialist breast pathologist and member of the International Committee of the Royal College of Pathologists and the Scientific Advisory Committee of Breast Cancer Campaign.
